Product Overview

This rotating tree shear attachment can slice through trees up to 12" in diameter and features a head that rotates to three angles for versatile use in logging, clearing unwanted trees, and removing fallen branches. A powerful 5" x 12" hydraulic cylinder delivers up to 30 tons of cutting force at 3,000 PSI, making it ideal for tough, dense wood. The head can be manually positioned at 0, 45, or 90-degrees to suit various tasks, ensuring trees consistently fall to the right for safe, efficient felling. It includes heat-treated AR400 steel shear blades for enhanced durability, along with hoses and flat-faced couplers for easy connection. Designed with a SSQA hookup, it fits any skid steer or tractor with a universal quick attach system.

Note: This attachment is not intended for uprooting trees or dragging debris. A phone number is required to schedule delivery with the trucking company.

Great deal
It works well, has lots of nice details. Using it on a small skid steer makes it much easier to center the tree into the shear, rather than using a tractor front end loader. I'm considering modifying the pin rotating system. When you try to shear a small tree that is not perfectly vertical, there is a good deal of twisting force as the shears want to get perpendicular to the tree trunk as they clamp down. I was imagining that some strong springs which would stretch enough to absorb that twisting force would save the stress on the pin. One other reviewer had welded on an additional mounting point so that there would be pins in two different locations, to strengthen that bottleneck of force. Regardless, it works as is, without totally torture testing it, but going up to about 9" wood. I liked being able to cut a piece of wood laying on the ground by coming at it from above. I want to remind people of the fact that the sharp shear blades shouldn't be used to move heavy timber around, since the blade hardening process (like carbide drill bits) makes it possible to break the blades with torquing force. My (also Titan) rotating grapple works very well for moving, stacking and feeding the trees into the chipper.

Good unit but overpriced
I received my attachment and had not unpacked it yet and got an offer of 30% off. When I called to get a refund I was notified of no refund policy. Great unit but it does take some getting used to when trying to cut off at the ground. How ever it apparently is over-priced so wait for a sale!!!
